Parent Participation
Active parental involvement provides a valuable enhancement to the school. Family members are welcome to visit, or to work with students in collaboration with teachers. Afternoon Investigations is a favorite time for parents to come in to do creative and challenging projects of exploration with the children.
An Executive Board is elected among the parents, and parents put energy into various committees, including planning social events for the whole school community. The elected Executive Committee members are:

- Mary Hagemann
- Ann McIntyre
- Jessica Ryan
Teachers share a narrative assessment and the child’s portfolio with parents in conferences in October and in April. Families may request additional conferences, and may initiate discussion with teachers regarding their child’s experience, progress and/or challenges.
