Admission Procedure
Interested families are invited to schedule a visit while school is in session. A member of the Enrollment Committee would be delighted to meet with you to answer questions and explain the daily functioning of the school while in the school environment.

The child’s visit may be scheduled next. A half-day followed by a full day allows time for the child to get familiar with the school, and then feel comfortable returning for a full day. The teachers plan curriculum for the visiting child so s/he is a participant rather than an observer; the child is involved in paired and small group activities and projects. The child gets a sense of what it would be like to attend The New School teachers note strengths and needs of the child concerning how curriculum might be designed for that student. Admissions decisions are made after teachers and parents reflect on the child/school “fit.”
